Kota, January 22, Rajasthan Technical University Kota organized special programs in the adopted villages of Gamch and Vijay Nagar, Tehsil - Taleda under the 'BetiBachao, BetiPadhao' campaign to increase awareness in the society and to promote the education and safety of girls on the 10th anniversary of 'BetiBachao, BetiPadhao'. Dr. S.D. Purohit, Public Relations Officer of RTU, said that the University Responsibility Cell of the University organized rallies, street plays and various dialogue sessions to spread awareness about the education and rights of girls in these villages as part of its social responsibility. The objective of the program is to reduce gender inequality in the adopted villages and underline the importance of daughters in the society. Under the organized program, an awareness rally was organized in which the students and teachers of the National Cadet Corps and RTU Drama Club took out a rally in rural areas and gave the message of 'BetiBachao, BetiPadhao'. Experts held dialogues on girl education and adult education and an attempt was made to create public awareness among the villagers through motivational stories. This campaign has made a positive impact in the rural communities. The villagers appreciated this effort and assured cooperation for the education and safety of their daughters.
Vice Chancellor Prof. SK Singh said that this program is not just a campaign, but an effort to give a better direction to the society. We are proud that we are working at the grassroots level for the rights and education of daughters. BetiBachao, BetiPadhao campaign is a commendable step towards eliminating gender discrimination and empowering girls. This campaign will provide unlimited opportunities to girls to get education and fulfill their dreams with the message of eliminating gender discrimination. RTU's awareness campaigns have created a deep understanding of the importance of gender equality among the villagers and have empowered such public welfare campaigns at the grassroots level. We all have to make collective efforts to protect the rights of our daughters and ensure their education and create a society where they can move forward without any discrimination. This social effort of RTU will bring even more progress and social opportunities for daughters.
