Programme Educational Objectives of B.Tech Mechanical Engineering

1. Graduates will become engineer in the industries associated with Mechanical Engineering and professional engineers starting­-up and growing their own new firms.
They will become recognized experts working in government, consulting firms and international organizations around the country and around the world addressing some of the most challenging problems of our times.
2. Graduates will become leading researchers and professors who create and disseminate new knowledge in Mechanical Engineering.
3. Graduates will pursue lifelong learning, such as graduate work and other professional education. Graduates will be leaders, both in their chosen profession and in other activities.
4. Graduates will have high level of technical competency combined with research and problem solving skills to generate innovative solutions in Mechanical Engineering and/or related interdisciplinary areas.
5. Graduates will be able to communicate effectively to various stakeholders and practice their profession with high regard to societal needs, diversity, constraints in the professional workplace and ethical responsibilities
6. Continuously updating themselves in areas and technologies that are relevant to their career, participate in personal development and increasing their understanding of matters that are current and important to society at national and international levels.
7. Graduates will have enough training to conduct experiments analyze and interpret the results for all latest techniques and equipment related to Mechanical Engineering.

Programme Educational Objectives of M.Tech IEM

The educational objectives of the Industrial Engineering and Management are as following:
1) A Post graduate of the Industrial Engineering and Management program will be expected to have engaged in advanced study or effective life-long learning in topics areas relevant to professional advancement and to enhance the quality of personal life in today’s global and social context.
2) Postgraduates will become engineers in the industries associated with Industrial Engineering and Management firms. They will become recognized experts working in government, consulting firms and international organizations around the country and around the world addressing some of the most challenging problems of our times.
3) A Postgraduate of the Industrial Engineering and Management program will be expected to be productive citizens who have become involved in their community and seek leadership roles in professional and community organizations.
4) A Post graduate of the Industrial Engineering and Management program will be expected to have established themselves as practicing engineers/professionals in their careers and to effectively and economically employ and integrate technology and people in organizational environments in industrial, healthcare, logistics, service and/or governmental settings, with appropriate consideration for current and future environmental factors, health and safety, manufacturability and ethical, economic, social and political issues.
5) Postgraduates will become leading researchers and professors who create and disseminate new knowledge in Industrial Engineering and Management.
